Why Clarity is the Missing Piece in Your Brand Strategy
Here’s a little-known fact: you don’t need more content. You need more clarity.
If you're like most entrepreneurs I work with, you're already doing a lot:
Showing up online
Posting on Instagram
Updating your website
Writing emails
Trying to “stay consistent”
But it still feels like something’s missing; and that “something” is usually clarity.

From Foundation to Framework: What Being a Makeup Artist Taught Me About Building Brands
I began my career in front of the camera, drawn to the magic of storytelling and the power of visual connection. I worked in film and TV, appearing in over 30 music videos — including for artists like Drake and Snoop Dogg — and even played an Unfriendly Black Hottie in Mean Girls.
It was a fast-paced, high-energy world, but I found myself increasingly curious about what was happening behind the scenes.
That curiosity led me to beauty. I became a professional makeup artist, working on editorial shoots, music videos, and film sets — helping artists and celebrities show up with confidence and intention. My client list included names like Donald Trump, Trey Songz, and Talib Kweli.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that I was learning the foundations of personal branding — long before I ever called it that.
